The Greek Film Festival in Berlin announced recently that next year’s program will take place in January 2021, against all …coronavirus odds!
In a press release they issued, the organizers say that ”even though COVID-19 is separating us and keeps us in distance, our team already started preparing for the new edition of the fest, so save the dates: 20-24 January 2021!”
The festival was known as the ”Hellas Filmbox Berlin,” however, from 2021 its new name will be ”The Greek Film Festival in Berlin.”
The call for entries is online already and those interested can ask further questions by sending an email to sofia@thegreekfilmfestivalinberlin.com.
The organizers hope that people will be able to attend the festival, of course by practising social distancing measures and by wearing masks.
In case of a full lockdown, the organizers have said that they plan to go ahead by using new technologies and the internet.
